Textbase for the Study of History of Danish and Style is intended for users without any specific technical skills.
The marked up texts are best applicable in the Opera browser. The browser can be downloaded on Opera’s website. Browsers other than Opera may not display the texts properly.
All texts are supplied with a text head containing bibliographic information.
The main principle in editing the texts is preservation of information according to the source texts:
- philological text editions
- facsimile editions
- and photographs of original prints.
Imposing, pagination, and specific typographical marking in the originals are recorded in the digital editions of the base.
The different textual types of information are encoded with marks complying with the international XML standard.
